Biofuel Causes Pollution

Last week, a deputy division director of environmental maintenance for the Missouri Natural Resources Dept, said she was warned almost a year ago by her counterparts in other states that manufacturers of biodiesel were illegally disposing of glycerin, the primary emissions of biodiesel processing, mixed with methanol, another waste product that is categorized as environmentally toxic.
Glycerin, an alcohol that is most commonly nontoxic and can be sold for secondary uses, but first it has to be cleaned, a process that is expensive and complicated. Greatly increased demand for biodiesel has flooded the market with excess glycerin, this, of course, has resulted in it becoming less cost-effective to clean and sell.
In October, an anonymous caller alerted the department that a tanker truck was illegally disposing of milky white goop into Belle Fountain Ditch, which is one of the many man-made channels that drain Missouri's Bootheel section. That milky white goo was found to be glycerin from a biodiesel plant.
In January, a grand jury indicted a Missouri businessman in the discharge, which destroyed at least twenty-five thousand fish and eliminated an endangered species of mussels.
Back in Alabama, Nelson Brooke of Black Warrior Riverkeeper, a 501c3 entity with the purpose of safeguarding and restoring the Black Warrior River and its tributaries, got notified of a fish kill in the Autumn of 2006 that stretched 20 miles downstream from Moundville. Even though Mr. Brooke included in the report that found oil in the water in the vidinty of the dead fish, the state Department of Environmental Management concluded that naturally occuring, seasonal shifts in oxygen levels in the water might have been the culprit. The agency did not charge Alabama Biodiesel.
In August of last year, Black Warrior Riverkeeper, in a complaint filed in Federal District Court, documented at least twenty-four instances when oil was spotted in the water near the plant.

MORE HEADACHES FOR BIOFUEL

Ethanol combustion was determined to be significantly more toxic than gasoline for human health. "Ethanol is being promoted as a healthful and renewable fuel that has the ability to reduce global warming and air pollution", said Stanford University environmental scientist Mark Jacobson.

But his predict that fatalities and illnesses connected to breathing conditions would increase if automobiles used fuel that has high ethanol levels.

One test compared gasoline powered vehicles to E85 fueled vehicles. E85 is 85% ethanol and 15% gas. "We concluded that E85 vehicles diminish environmental levels of two carcinogens, benzene and butadiene, but increases two different ones, formaldehyde and acetaldehyde. As a result, cancer rates for E85 are likely to be similar to those for gasoline. However, in some parts of the country, E85 significantly increased ozone, a prime ingredient of smog", Jacobson said.
And with that statement, I confess I am now totally befuddled. I had been lead to believe that the whole thing that researchers are trying to remedy is the depletion of the ozone and now this guy is saying that additional ozone will mean more smog??
Tell ya what... Just forget the whole thing!
Much too complicated, even for the experts, to resolve. Besides a significantly simpler solution exists!
If you are unindoctrinated, such as the "experts", WATER4GAS is providing information at a low price which individuals can use at home to put together a small gizmo which instills hydrogen into the gasoline/air mixture that their car runs on.
What this does is make smaller particles out of the particles that the engine uses as fuel. So the engine is able to use considerably more of it.
With WATER4GAS you can minimumly expect to lower your fuel consumption by 12%. In reality though many are getting thirty to fifty percent improvement or significantly more. Those goblets "musta" been pretty "blankin'" big in some engines before. But with WATER4GAS they are made usable so you can lower your fuel consumption.
It also helps make emissions significantly cleaner.
This information has been purchased by over NINE THOUSAND people already and happy members number about 99%! So that's a start!
